Week 12/26/2020 Week one has been a success, I only lifted twice this week because of a project in English but i plan to get the full 4 days next week. I have concluded that there is a lot of work to be done with my lifting as each session, especially legs was followed with intense soreness. I haven't worked out my legs in over 4 months due to a football injury and this Sunday was the day to knock the dust off. Tuesday I did a heavy arm day because my legs were still sore and it went very well, It was a hypertrophy oriented workout as I did relatively low reps and a moderate weight. Throwing this week went very well and i'm making large i,improvements on my form. I've been focusing on discus to get back in the swing of it and get my distances up. In shot put, I've been working to get my foot down in the center and keep It turning so that i can get my foot down in the front of the circle. Also I've been working a lot on activating my hips and standing up at the end of my throw, I have a tendency to stand up at the beginning of the throw which kills my distance and makes me throw up. I hit about 49 this week in shot, but that does not mean much because I only threw shot 5 times this week. Lifting has felt honestly very refreshing to me, i enjoy the feeling you get when you are lifting and that burn comes and you know that you are getting stronger and becoming better. I get this feeling when I was working out on Sunday, doing my lunges and squats. Arms have felt pretty easy but i have noticed the difference in my arms size due to throwing and not lifting, my right arm is significantly larger than my left and i will be working to fix that. 55 here we come.
